THE JOURNEY

A funny road from hotel floors to shipping product. A few plot twists.

01

Passport line

Born in Mexico. Raised in Colombia. English sharpened between Canada and the US. Then the real moving started.

four countries before the first real job title

02

Cartagena beginnings

Tourism & business at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano. Sofitel Legend Santa Clara front desk. Cartagena Tourism Board, helping publish hospitality indicators for the city.

03

China chapter

Les Roches Jin Jiang in Shanghai. Marriott City Centre buffet chaos (~1200 covers a day) and a Spirit to Serve award. Then CE LA VI Hong Kong, and somewhere between service shifts I fell into web analytics. Numbers, ecommerce, how sites actually work. Suddenly interesting. Spain Business School (remote) formalized the curiosity.

Shanghai lessons, Hong Kong rabbit hole

04

Entrepreneur return

Startup Weekend Cartagena. 2nd place with #MiArtesano. Founded Emprendedores Digitales SAS: San Jacinto crafts to Asia. Side business: Envios Internacionales Baratos (cheap international shipping) via DHL, with a ridiculous 15-20% Google Ads CTR. Still can't believe it worked. First WordPress site. First real brush with development, clicking around the admin until the shop worked. It was successful. Then life pointed toward Germany, and running it from overseas got hard.

first CMS, first “wait… I can build this”

05

Germany limbo

New country. Learning German. Playing games. Not sure hospitality was still the path, and not yet sure what was.

zwischen dual language and duo queue

06

The LoL pivot

Lost a Masters promo in League of Legends. Tilted through about twenty losses. Dropped to Platinum. Rage-quit. And finally decided to learn programming. I'd always had the ideas, never the skills to ship the apps. Surprise: I was good at this.

worst LP deficit, best career move

07

Builder arc

DCI Digital Career Institute. MERN. Hackathon 2.0, first place with Stir It Up. Junior full-stack at COMPEON, then the big leagues: ecommerce at GALERIA in Germany. In my free time I was also building things people requested, like the medical appointments site.

two tracks, double the scar tissue

08

Side quests

100Best was a real company under 100BestApp OÜ in Estonia. The official launch never happened. Timing got in the way. Voyaggi was the next try, almost a real company in Dubai, and that led to a whole new chapter: Agentic AI.

09

Today

A successful career as a full-stack and product developer. A lot of ownership. A lot of responsibility, which I enjoy. Never afraid of the next great idea.

The future

I'm always learning something new and keeping myself updated. I'm also excited about what else is coming. And...I still need to fill more than half of the map below.

That part!
